TETTA

TETTA graduated with an M.F.A. in oil painting from Tama Art University in 2009. Her works include paintings, photographs, performances, and art projects inspired by Buddhist statutes. Her projects allow participants to experience traditional Japanese Buddhist art in a workshop, and bringing both surprise and joy to passersby on the street, have received much attention and acclaim in the media.
Major exhibitions include her solo show “Exhibition: 33 gen-do Temple Project” 3331 Arts Chiyoda (Tokyo, 2014), and her participation in the Nakanojo Biennale (Gunma, 2019).
