A+green project+Moeka Seki "shine", Saitama Triennale 2020 / Photo: ASAMI Shunya

Through the Hikawa Sando project, we have developed expressions of our essence. In this satellite of the exhibition at the former Omiya Library, the display is on the themes of spirit and philosophy, and the two areas communicate opposing worldviews of ""material and spirit"" and ""light and shadow."" In natural forests, plants create environments at different heights in order to coexist, with plants in each environment adapted to the intensity of light they receive there. What is the ""light"" we are looking for as humans living in society? This installation by artist, Moeka Seki, developed through pondering the words of playwright, idealist, and free-thinker Friedrich von Schiller: "What is life without the light of love?"
The essence of human beings is love, and because there is light, there is also shadow, so the essence passes between the shadows, Ka, Ga, and Mi, as our ordinary self falls away and only our self as a being of light remains.
