"Saitama Studies Ⅱ CIRCULATION SAITAMA" Public presentation scene (December 15, 2020) Saitama Triennale 2020
What is the general impression that people have of“Saitama?”With what kind of image is it associated? Surprisingly, there are many things that remain unknown or unrecognized in terms of attributes, as well as its history and development.
“Saitama Studies I”was held at the“Saitama Triennale 2016,”in an effort to deepen“understanding of the region and its community”as an important starting point for this art festival, and to further expand the results of its endeavors into civil activities.
The second installment,“Saitama Studies II,”consisted of two programs: a“Local Project Creation”workshop titled“CIRCULATION SAITAMA”
which aimed to entirely transform the way people looked at the city, and the “Suribachi x 100 Sights of Saitama”lecture and street walk program that served to review the knowledge gained from“Saitama Studies I”while inviting
citizens to venture out into the city with the lecturers. This exhibit presents an archive of these two programs.
