"→ (Yajirushi)" planned by NAGASHIMA Kaku + The Team for Yajirushi, that has been continuously developed since the Saitama Triennale 2016. Based on simple rules that making an object in the shape of "→" with free materials, and placing it in a familiar place such as home, school, or workplace. As the project that anyone can participate in, many citizens from children to adults participate, and so far, various "→" have been born.
At this art festival, the project started prior to the opening. As a mechanism to make it easier to participate, we made a "→ picture book" that describes how to make "→". After reading it, the children of elementary and junior high schools in the city created their own "→".
All the works of the participants will be announced on the official Instagram (# Saitama Yajirushi), A collection of real works → The group cloth "Yajirushien" has appeared at the Omiya Library and shops in the city.
