Splash Sight：The Railway Museum

Kenji Miyazawa's masterpiece "The Night of the Milky Way Train (Ginga Tetsudo no Yoru)" is produced as a crowd-walking performance. It will be performed at the Railway Museum (rolling stock station) where many valuable railway vehicles that have supported the history of Japanese railways are displayed.

Work summary

Omiya has developed a railway network and serves as the gateway connecting Tokyo and the northern Kanto, Tohoku, Shinetsu, and Hokuriku regions. Aboard the railroad vehicles that supported modernization and people's lives in Japan, the audience was on their way to the "Ginga Tetsudo (Galactic railroad)". Omiya is connected to Tohoku and Iwate whichi is hometown of Kenji Miyazawa, by rail. We witness what is "hontouno saiwai".
Inspired by the space of the Railway Museum, FAIFAI will be performed Kenji Miyazawa's masterpiece as an audience migrating performance.
